Ferry Road, Minster on Sea, Sheerness, ME12 3R
Kingsferry Gunclub just over the old Sheppey bridge is predominately a skeet ground. It has 4 skeet layouts and a 5 stand sport trap set up over skeet layout 1.
Practice is on each Wednesday and registered skeet shoots take place on alternate Saturdays and Sundays. Check which these are on the site link at the top.
This club has been established for thousands of years, going through the archive photos I’ve found pictures of George Digweed as a slim teenager, horses and carts and black powder blunderbusses.
Seriously though, this is a fantastic little skeet club with an amazing community of like-minded shooters. Beginners are welcomed and given free tuition and gun loan if required.
There’s always plenty of tea and coffee on the go and snacks are available at the weekend in the clubhouse.
Prices are per round and very competitive. Even cheaper if you take a membership.
Kingsferry is a NON TOXIC shooting ground as its in a wetland area so steel shot only is allowed. 12g Carts can be purchased at the ground at normal retail prices if you haven’t got your own supply.
Weather conditions are testing at times, sometimes the skeet is more like a good round of sporting.
Mark shooting some black powder skeet on low house 1. Spectacular but no good for the doubles!
