North Cornwall Shooting Ground

If trap disciplines are your bag then North Cornwall Shooting Ground is a great place to visit when you’re in the West Country. 

The ground has DTL, ABT, UT, Double Rise and a sport trap layout. All are registered and conform to the CPSA regs. 

The ground is beautifully maintained, with ample hard area parking, toilet and cafe facilities for light snacks and drinks. 

The staff are very friendly, Simon remembered us from the previous year we were there, must have made an impression! They are more than willing to offer excellent advice to novices and experienced shooters alike. 

I had a taster couple of rounds of ABT under the guidance of Albert, who taught me some excellent techniques and upped my second round to 19 from a paltry initial score of 11. 

Lou and I shot a few rounds of sport trap, more our discipline really, the targets being a lot easier than trap for us sporting shooters…still didn’t straight it though annoyingly! 

The ground opens Thursdays 11-00 to 16-00 and Saturdays 10-00 to 17-00. 

Well with a visit, especially as its just 10 mins from High View. 

No cartridge restrictions.
